My Story
Hello! Glad you stopped by! It's great to meet you!! I'm Patty! I'm a wife and mother, of two precious girls! They are our greatest gifts, via adoption! I am a stay at home/ home schooling mom. I started my business in the fall of 2009, and now I am blessed by coaching and mentoring others to create their success story!! Helping others to believe in themselves as they SPARKLE and SHINE! I love every minute of it!! Even though my husband feared, it would not go any were, it has surprised us both, and continues to bless our family in many ways! Even living in a rural area, I have kept growing with Scentsy! Not to mention the 5 different locations we have lived in during this time, because of hubby’s work. The best part of getting to do what I do is it has given me a great way to bless others by simply helping and giving more than I take! Something I totally believe in! It allows me the freedom to stay at home with my girls, as well as work around our calendar, while still having fun working. Even better it allows me to make new friends, while sharing Scentsy Love. Scentsy continues to amaze me, as it grows and they add more and more new products, for us to share. All our products truly live up to "warm hearts, enliven the senses, and inspire the soul". How I came to Scentsy ~ I grew up in a home where we did love our candles, but yet my mom was super terrified of fire, after loosing everything in a fire, before I was born. So she instilled this fear in me as well. Later on a friend of my had a house fire because of a candle with stuff near it. So safety in using candles in that manner was a must. I’d leave them on a shelf with nothing around them. So nothing could touch them. In 2007, I had been givin a couple of Scentsy bars, as a gift. Without an Authentic Scentsy Warmer, I was still impressed with the scent! I used the Scenty bars with my other brand tart warmer. As well as melting them in a little glass bowl with an electric candle warmer. I had not heard of Scentsy, nor did I look into it, I figured it was just wax melts. (oh how I wish I had looked into it then). One day in 2008, I was shopping at a small mom and pop gift shop, and came across a “plug in” style mini warmer. Bought it, as I had lots of tarts, since they were already a stronger sent than candles. Came home so excited, but that didn’t last. It was way to hot, you couldn’t touch it. And when my 4 year old touched it and cried because it was mild burn, I was done. Even though I had it high, out of her reach. Kids climb, as she did. From that moment, I had no desire to ever give another brand a shot with that style electric bulb warmer. I would stick to my candles. Then in 2009, a couple of people near and dear to me, fully introduced me to Scentsy. I honestly bought bars and room spray and still didn’t have a warmer. I started seeing how I could really go in my friend’s house and touch her warmer, and it wouldn’t burn., like the one I had bought of another brand. So soon I was all in and totally in love!!! And what was better than a new safe way for me to enjoy candles! There would be no more leaving home with a wicked candle burning. As I am telling you, I did this way more regular than I care to admit. Not on purpose, just rushing out the door. Chasing after 2 little ones, was hard. We lived in the middle of no where, I didn’t know anyone really. No family was near us. Our oldest was 4, but we were in the process of adopting our baby girl, was in foster care and a severe drug baby. So this momma ran ran ran, and never stopped! Yet I’d come home, see the candle and panic again about the safety, and be so thankful and prayv prayers of thanks for keeping our home safe. It was a tiny mobile home miles from town, I might add. So had it ever caught fire, nothing would have made it. When my niece held her party, I learned more about the company and knew it was something I wanted to do! I had to first save enough money to buy the starter kit, then I signed up. My husband had been layed off and times were really tough for us. But after prayer and saving, I did it! I started my Scentsy Business! I have never looked back! It has been such a blessing to us, and in the first few months, it was just the extra we really needed! The first 4 paychecks went right to diapers, milk, bread, or food. Nothing fun, but what was a must for our girls. I have made many friends while sharing Scentsy and totally believe in the product and business! My husband is my biggest cheerleader, and he sales just as much as I do myself! And my girls can't get enough Scentsy! They take their buddies everywhere we go. It was the right fit for our family! I am so excited about sharing a safer and more economical way, for all of us, to enjoy candles! Even better, without a wick, the scent is stronger! These are the BEST!! I love seeing the excitement that others have when they pick out their perfect warmer! And the scents carry us to many different places!!! From an Autumn Sunset, to the Beach, or making sugar cookies in the Christmas Cottage, to even sharing eskimo kisses with the little ones you love so dearly!!! But don't worry there is something simply irrestible about my love story both with my hubby and my awesome Scentsy business!!!!! Believe you me, there is a scent for everyone!!! But guess what? Scentsy isn't just safe authentic candle warmers any longer, we now have many other products to offer that include, fragrance on the go items, Scentsy Buddies for all to snuggle and enjoy, and a Layers line that will wow you! Layers is a line full of items to help you layer on the scent that is right for you, with products from body wash and lotions, to body spray and perfume! Layers also has a couple of scented laundry items to offer you! Another reason, I love what I do, is the Scentsy Family! That is everyone that is spreading the Scentsy Love! We are all there to help each other anyway we can. Scentsy is a Christian based company that believes in giving more than you take. And the real meaning of Generosity! Even the Founders/ Owners are eager to help you succeed! They are the most down to earth and giving people! And it's truly one big family!!! Scentsy is SIMPLE and AUTHENTIC, but more than that, Scentsy is full of Generosity! It's all about giving more than you take! And to me, helping someone else is what life is all about. Something that my Momma always taught me, to give freely. Even when you don't have enough, give something. Literally she would give the shirt off her back to anyone, even if they just liked it. My Momma is an Angel, who looks down on me now, but I know that she is smilling at the fact that I live up to what she taught me. She too loved Scentsy and would share it with the world. She would say, oh you don't know what you are missing, here's a bar for you to try out! She would hand over a bar of wax from her personal stock. Scentsy offers twice a year a new Charitable Cause product, with all the proceeds going to that Charity. These have included Breast Cancer, Sunshine Kids Foundation, Autisum Speaks, the Ronald McDonald House, The American Heart Association, and our newest Special Olympics. But Scentsy's giving doesn't stop there, there is many other things, we all do to give back and help others along the way. A couple of my favorites have been Wednesday's Child, Food Banks, helping those affected by the tornadoes and wild fires last year! And my latest, a Scentsy Buddy Drive that benefits the area CASA for children in the foster system. It really makes my heart smile, when helping others and seeing so many from my Scentsy family doing the same! We have a great product line to offer and something for everyone!
